CB Radio Yuma – A Review of the Newest Satellite Radio Station in Mexico
It’s always good to have the latest and most popular music channels like CB radio in your MP3 player, so when the news about Yuma Radio hit the scene it was immediately downloaded onto my computer. This station is an affiliate of Sony and has expanded into Mexico, Costa Rica and Dominican Republic, and more recently into the Caribbean and Central America. Their radio station is syndicated by the BBC and is similar to the US version of Sun Records (Sirius).
I have always enjoyed Yuma radio and they play music that is not over forty minutes long so I can listen to them while on my lunch break. When I was looking for this new service I really didn’t know what to expect, I had seen some of their older programs on the internet and didn’t know that they played music from all over the world. But they also had music from the 70s and they play the classics, old jazz, rock, reggae, and more. Their programming seems to be more geared toward older white women, so I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing.
My favorite songs are usually those that have a fast tempo and that don’t have annoying commercials interrupting them. I think this station does an excellent job of playing the music that you love without having to advertise it. I enjoy listening to the talk show as well as the weather and local newscasts on the webcasts are great as well. The only bad thing about CB radio Yuma is they only play music from the CD, and the station never had music from Animal House.
