The CB Radio Quebec is one of the newest radio stations in Quebec that is starting to take shape. This station is very similar to many other AM and FM stations in this region but it does have something that sets it apart from the rest of the competition. It is actually owned and operated by an interesting group of people who are starting to put it on the map as something that other Canadian radio stations would do well to pay attention to. It is the unique combination of the very high quality programming that is featured on this station along with the fact that it is hosted and promoted by two very interesting people, Eric Rocha and Pierre Verka.
Eric Rocha is a Canadian talk show host that has gained a reputation for being an interesting and influential personality in the industry. He has built a very large following on an eclectic number of programs and is loved by a wide variety of people from all walks of life. Mr. Rocha’s biggest claim to fame may be his three-year stint as the host of The Late Show, but he also spent time in the military, appearing in films and on numerous TV shows. He has kept a busy schedule and managed to keep his radio show on top of all of his other duties.
Pierre Verka is a Montreal based DJ and businessman who has built a very large record company. His deep understanding of music, especially the underground variety, has allowed him to sign deals with some of the world’s top artists. In fact, many of his own recordings have been turned into platinum selling singles and he has also worked with a wide variety of artists from various genres. Mr. Verka’s passion for music and broadcasting has allowed him to create a name for himself in the business, even landing a job with Canadian band Chvrches as a manager. Together, Mr. Verka and CB Radio Quebec are working to change the face of the Canadian radio market.
